Brigitte Bardot take 2; Day to Night look.

Image
Every now & then I check my stats & the one post that is always up the top is this Brigitte Bardot inspired makeup look I did a while back, although I cringe now but I feel that I have improved a lot, especially with my skin. :). Day My hair looking lush, with a bit of help. On the eyes I used Nyx chrome white pearl e/s with a bit of Stila Kitten all over the lid with Satin Taupe in the crease for definition & blended out with a lighter brown. Eyeliner is Maybelline Eye studio liquid e/l (I think thats the name), however I dun goofed it up :( Cheeks are looking like NYX pinky blush & lips are a mixture of Revlon Nude Attitude & CG lip perfection in kiss (love this combo! Revlon NA helps take out some of the frostiness of kiss) Only just a few more pageview's for all time. haha Night Had a party to go to & I had the worst time getting ready (burnt cheek while doing my hair, lots of frustration) but after all that trouble we didn't even stay for...

Bird Inspired #1 Parot

Image
Hey everyone! Another quick post, no time to check in! In our backyard we have a lattice set up where we keep a bird bell (bird seed in the um shape of a bell lol). Quite often we have some Parots (or some sort of colourful bird haha- not too sure which species- maybe Lorikeets? ) that are usually in pairs but sometimes we can have up 5 at one time. Anyway... I have been meaning forever to use their gorgeous colours as inspiration. Hard to see how bright their colours are. These pics where taken before I did the rest of my makeup. So excuse the brows!   Picture borrowed from Google. Pink stars- mixed together on lid. White star-outer corner + undereye Orange stars- Mixed together for crease Green stars- mixed for above green Not pictured- Red for under eye, white for inner corner. Roo m for i m p rove m ent; Blending the blue & green together. I find the blues are hard to blend with the 120 palette. -Blending the red into the blue- I pictured it to look so much better but It didn...

Inglot Prize! + Pixiwoo Inspired Purple + Pink

Image
So I actually received it last week, by 'It' I mean the Inglot prize from Amalia which consists of 3 concealers & 2 lipsticks in a palette. Yayy my first Inglot products! & if this is anything to go by, I can't wait until the day I buy some of their eyeshadows! Amalia sent them to me with the palette empty & the products separately in plastic. When I first swatched them they felt extremely creamy, & maybe a bit melted (who knows, it came from the sunny U.S to winter in Aus so that may have affected it) but now I can tell they are just extremely creamy!! I have used them everyday since I've received them & they apply so smoothly & last all day!! (well not quite all day, I haven't tested them that far)         & for the lipsticks... gorgeous colours! the 1st one is more cherry & the other one more blue-based. I haven't actually used the 2nd one yet which I must! Only bad thing is that I cannot take this palette in my bag with me for...

Brigitte Bardot Makeup

Image
A few weeks ago at M akeup Geek was an era contest. I decided to go with Brigitte Bardot as my inspiration, so I focused on the winged liner, defined crease, glowy skin & matte lips. What inspired me to go with this look was this photo of Eva Mendes, which incorporated all of these things. However this photo is obviously heavily photoshopped so no way in hell would i be able to get a look anywhere close to this, lol.  Anywhooo here are my pics!! Face~ Mac Strobe cream over my foundation. It didn't get my skin as glowy as i wanted but it helped. lol Physicians Formula Mineral Glow Pearls in beige pearl Nyx Taupe Eyes~ TFSI white pearl all over lid up to brow bone Face Of Australia jasper eyeshadow in crease & lower lash line Nyx JEP in black bean for eyeliner Falsies from ebay Lips~ Avon Nude l/l Revlon Nude Attitude l/s Hair~ You can only tell in the pic with the lighter background haha but I slightly teased my hair at the crown, then took half my hair from the back and pu...
